Today the British Plastics Federation has released a Recycling Roadmap report.
This in-depth report brings together all currently available data on recycling and projects what the UK recycling industry can achieve over the next decade, provided the right drivers are in place.
Featuring a foreword by Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defra Rebecca Pow MP, the Recycling Roadmap shows the steps needed for the UK to drastically reduce its reliance on exporting plastic waste for recycling and to reduce the amount of plastic going into landfill to 1% by 2030.
The BPF has issued a press release outlining the Recycling Roadmap findings and is also hosting a webinar on this topic next week.
