Ultra Electronics PMES has been in the supply of high quality DC power products for traction applications for over 50 years. Equipment has been supplied to Network Rail, London Underground, CTRL and many other UK & overseas transit authorities. Whilst we design and manufacture many substation equipments (including Transformer Rectifier Units) at our factory in Staffordshire, contracts are often for the design and supply of complete turnkey DC Substation Systems. Electrical and mechanical design is undertaken by our team of engineers who have many years of experience and are supported by the latest software design tools. We are fully conversant with both UK and continental practices and standards. Our designs are simple, based on decades of refinement and are commercially competitive as demonstrated by our continued success.

Our other site is in Kitts Green, Birmingham, where we design and manufacture power transformers, these are utilised for the rectification applications above, but we can also provide standard or bespoke power transformer solutions for Auxiliary power, earthing and signalling supplies as well as a range of reactors. The specialist nature of our transformer capabilities mean that any requirements of a non standard nature can be investigated by our engineering team.
