BATT Cables plc was founded in 1952, making it the oldest cable distributor in the UK. To this day, BATT Cables is still a privately owned plc company. Today BATT Cables employs 200 people across 8 stocking locations, (Head Office and superhub is based in Erith, Kent). With 20 sales offices from Aberdeen to Bristol, to London, and overseas offices in Belgium, Germany, USA, Italy, France, Romania, The Netherlands, Singapore, Spain and Poland.

BATT Cables has a diverse stocking profile. From a £55m ($88m, 66m) inventory, the stock range includes fibre optics, 33kv power cable, micc cable , data, and CWZ fire performance cables, together with related products and accessories. The stock is held over 5 UK locations and three International locations with a total storage space of 660,000sqft
